Jacques Peccaud appointed new IT Director for the Socotec Group
Paris, 21 March 2011 - With nearly 20 years' experience in corporate IT systems, Jacques Peccaud is appointed the new IT Director of the Socotec Group.

Having trained as an Agricultural Engineer and obtained his Professional Agricultural Certification from the prestigious Haute Ecole de Commerce (1998), Jacques Peccaud has recently joined the Socotec Group. He was previously in charge of overhauling the IT systems at Sonepar France, the parent company of the Sonepar Group.
Having started his career working for the Roullier Group, Mr Peccaud then went on to join Grand Optical Photoservice in 1992 to coincide with the launch of La Générale d'Optique. In 1999 he moved to the TF1 Group (Bouygues Group) before accepting the position of Head of IT at CGE Distribution (Sonepar Group) in 2003.

Socotec Group strengthens its position in the Benelux REM market with the acquisition of Sophia Audit

Socotec, a global risk management services provider, has just acquired a majority stake in Sophia Audit SA, a Belgian company originally founded in 1984 under the name AME (Audit Maintenance Energie). The company's founder still owns a share of the capital, and in 2010 it recorded sales of €1 million with a workforce of a dozen employees.
A renowned specialist in corporate real estate technical management, Sophia Audit applies its expertise primarily in the following areas:

• Technical assessment and valuation of real estate
• Energy audits
• Developing technical specifications and ensuring maintenance engineering

This acquisition has allowed the Socotec Group to broaden its range of services to real estate owners, managers and users, both in France and abroad.
